The most important word a man can say are, ‘I will do better.'

"The most important word a man can say are 'I will do better.'

- Brandon Sanderson

The quote comes from Brandon Sanderson's book Oathbringer; an epic fantasy involving a fantasy world with kings, a broken treaty, and an assassination attempt.

This quote may be from a fictional character in a fictional story, but it rings true. As we live our lives, we make mistakes. It is unavoidable. It is what we do afterwards that shows if we understand our purpose in life- to do better, become better, become the best version of ourselves. That is my hypothesis.

Acknowledging we need to do better shows humbleness and love for ourselves and others.

Hello! I am Jamie- a nurse, a wife, and a mother (of 2 great kids and 3 amazing dogs). I have also lived with chronic illness, including chronic depression, since I was a teenager. Many years later, I now thrive with my depression rather than simply survive. I started this blog to share info and my experience with severe, chronic depression because I want YOU to thrive as well!
