Christmas waves a magic wand over this world...W.T. Ellis

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful”—W.T. Ellis

There is something magical that once a year, from the end of November until the start of the new year, life is celebrated. Cities, businesses, and families decorate the area around them with lights and other decorative items. It does not matter what holiday or religion you are or recognize because we are celebrating life and each other. And we definitely have a lot to celebrate! Life can be challenging and uncertain. Work and tasks can usurp our time and energy. It is wonderful that we stop to smell the roses (or poinsettias). No matter what is going on in your life, take a second to look at the beauty and magic that surrounds you!

Hello! I am Jamie- a nurse, a wife, and a mother (of 2 great kids and 3 amazing dogs). I have also lived with chronic illness, including chronic depression, since I was a teenager. Many years later, I now thrive with my depression rather than simply survive. I started this blog to share info and my experience with severe, chronic depression because I want YOU to thrive as well!
