A Man's Health...Joan Welsh

A Man's Health is Judged by which He Takes Two at a time- pills or stairs. -Joan Welsh.

You don't have to climb the Great Wall of China to test your physical health, although I would love to see it sometime in my life. Just walking a little bit each day can help your physical health and your mood.

If you need to lose weight, you may need to increase your activity level beyond a slow walk. But a slow walk is a great way to start if you haven't been very active. If a walk is still too strenuous for you, there are other options as well. You can do exercises in a pool or sit down for a class of chair aerobics. Even stretching may be a good initial step.

Physical activity can help you eliminate or decrease your medications. It can be used to control, or even eliminate, some health issues. And it can make you feel happier.

Wouldn't you rather take two steps than two pills?

Hello! I am Jamie- a nurse, a wife, and a mother (of 2 great kids and 3 amazing dogs). I have also lived with chronic illness, including chronic depression, since I was a teenager. Many years later, I now thrive with my depression rather than simply survive. I started this blog to share info and my experience with severe, chronic depression because I want YOU to thrive as well!
